Alyssa Sofia's 2 months old checkup!!


Our little girl had her 2 month checkup this past Wednesday 04/08/09. She had her first set of shots...poor little girl was NOT happy!! She only cried a bit when they gave them to her, but later on that evening she screamed bloody murder for 45 min straight! :-( She weighed in at 11.14lbs & measured 24 inches long...the Dr. said she was 75% for her weight & 90% for her height! She is looking great and meets all the milestones for her age ;-)

Alyssa is really responding to our faces these days...she loves smiling at Leo when he talks to her! She is able to hold her back and neck up much better now. We got her a jumperoo and she is starting to really like it! Alyssa barely fits in her bassinnet now. She is also getting a bald spot in the back of her head :-( Alyssa is starting to fit into her 3-6 month outfits already!!! I think that is it for now...stay tooned, she is growing fast!!!

Yesterday would have been Sofia's 2 nd birthday...We want to always remember her special day so we continued last years tradition and got her a little cake, card, and a little gift that reminded us of her (this year it was something that reminded us of her, but that her sis Alyssa could use). Remembering the day was bitter sweet...we love thinking about her, but of course it is still a very sad thought to know that she is not here as a part of our family (physically)...But we still seek comfort in knowing that we will be together again someday!! 7 months Already!!?? :-)

Our Little Pretty turned 7 months today!! WOW Can't believe it! She is such a little cutie pie...No new weight to report...She is starting to sit on her own now (still a little wobbly though)...She eats 2-3 Jars of baby food a day and still nurses anywhere from 3-5 times per day...Her favorite foods are anything that contain Sweet Potatoes or Sweet Peas in it :-) She Scoots on her belly to whatever catches her attention...Her bedtime is usually around 7ish, she sleeps in her crib and wake up time is usually around 6am! She still naps twice a day...Loves to be held (I think she just likes seeing the world from our view)...So the sling still comes in very handy! She has recently learned how to blow raspberries, which is super cute (except while she has a mouthful of baby food! LOL) Oh and she loves to grab EVERYTHING she can reach, including your face and she pinches SO hard (also pulls hair and has a tight grip)!!
