6 Weeks pregnant and counting!!!
SO I am a little over six weeks now (6 weeks and 3 days to be exact!! LOL) But who is counting!!?? I went to the Dr. yesterday and had my first sonogram and got to see our little jellybean!! So sweet, what a miracle and there was a little heartbeat already, YAY!! :-)

How big is your baby?
The crown to rump length of your baby now measures around 0.08-016 inches, which is 2-4mm. The crown to rump is the distance from the top your baby's head to it's rump.

Your baby's development
Week 6Your babys heart should start beating this week and with the proper equipment, such as an ultrasound, you may be able to see your baby's heart beating. Initial circulation starts off in the mesoderm, yolk sac and the linning of the placenta. By the middle of this week the aorta will have started to form in your babys heart.

Another major development this week is that your baby's eyes will also begin to form as well as the surface layer of skin. This should compete development over the course of this month.

During this week your baby's head and brain will also undergo some rapid development.

Another awesome development which is taking place is that your baby's tongue and nasal pits would have started to form, as well as "flippers" - these will later develop into your babys arms.

Yesterday would have been Sofia's 2 nd birthday...We want to always remember her special day so we continued last years tradition and got her a little cake, card, and a little gift that reminded us of her (this year it was something that reminded us of her, but that her sis Alyssa could use). 7 months Already!!?? :-)

Our Little Pretty turned 7 months today!! WOW Can't believe it! She is such a little cutie pie...No new weight to report...She is starting to sit on her own now (still a little wobbly though)...She eats 2-3 Jars of baby food a day and still nurses anywhere from 3-5 times per day...Her favorite foods are anything that contain Sweet Potatoes or Sweet Peas in it :-) She Scoots on her belly to whatever catches her attention...Her bedtime is usually around 7ish, she sleeps in her crib and wake up time is usually around 6am! She still naps twice a day...Loves to be held (I think she just likes seeing the world from our view)...So the sling still comes in very handy! She has recently learned how to blow raspberries, which is super cute (except while she has a mouthful of baby food! LOL) Oh and she loves to grab EVERYTHING she can reach, including your face and she pinches SO hard (also pulls hair and has a tight grip)!!
